Hey everyon I'm new to the forum and have a question. I recently converted a GoPro HERO 12 with a GoPro naked conversion kit. HOWEVER, I used a GEPRC kit that was intended for a HERO 11. On GetFPV's website, they didn't have the 12 option, but on GEPRC's website they did, I assumed (most likely wrong) that they were the same kit so I went ahead and bought it. Right now the camer turns on and the menu pops up on the front screen, but there are some major and interesting issues.
1. There is no camera signal, the screen stays black.
2. When I press the record button (with an SD card inserted), it only makes one beep (I have the speaker plugged in still) and no video is created, I've checked the SD card afterward. Many times I'll press the recording button and the GoPro will simply turn off
3. I've tried to manually reupdate the GoPro through the SD card, but the camera will turn on and off and display "-1".

I'll send a video tomorrow if that is helpful.

I've also emailed GEPRC about this issue, so I'm hoping they'll have some answers, but I would love to hear what you all have to say.

There is no reason why the Hero12 should not work with the Geprc BEC for Hero9 to 11.
And are you sure that you have all the cables correctly connected to the correct connectors on the GoPro motherboard and BEC, that they are fully inserted? It must click audibly when inserted. If all connections are fine, then there is a deeper problem.

I don't want to prejudge. Try to plug back the original buttons, both displays, the battery and possibly the USB PCB and try the GoPro to see if it works at all.

Hey so I've dug myself into a deep hole. I guess I have a problem that some other people are having. Screen still works with menus and icons still present and working but no image and it 30 seconds for it to switch modes.

I've tried to manually update it to the normal Gopro HERO 12 firmware but it endlessly reboots, not recognizing the UPDATE file.

And not sure if it helps, but the screen stays black with the camera plugged in and not plugged in.

I'm not sure I understand what you're writing. Did you put the GoPro back in its original form or are you writing about the behavior of the Naked GoPro?

It is not possible to directly update GoPro in naked form. The update cannot be performed without the battery being connected to the motherboard.
