Naked gopro hero 6 corrupted files
#1
Hi, i have a problem with my naked gopro 6 in betafpv case with bec running on cinelog 25. Camera is connected through balancer. Video feed has those radom horizontal stripes and video stops recording randomly mid flight. IMO it looks like sd card error, but i'm using UHS-3 Samsung evo so it shouldnt be a problem (never got any problems with the same gopro before striping down using this card).
2 of 4 flights got this stripes and video stopped recording mid flight.
It seems like it is corelated with throttle-voltage drops maybe?
Does anyone have the same problem? Is there any workaround?
It's supposed to be my first naked gopro to get used to it, and i wanted to buy and decase gopro 8 later, but if the same problems could occur with 8 it's just a waste of money and time... At this moment i'm very dissapointed with this naked 6...
Does naked 8 could have those problems too?

I have not experienced this problem on my Naked Gopro 8 but for your case since you are powering up from the balance plug I will be suspicious about the BEC not being able to regulate the voltage properly.

What size lipo are you running and what size quad? I am wondering if the amp draw of the overall system is cause a lot of lipo sag which in turn is giving the BEC a hard time.

Thanks for the reply, i tried 450 and 520mah, problem occured on both, the drone is 2,5 inch Geprc cinelog 25. I was trying to fly without any aggressive motion, but from videos i can see, it occurs when i move sticks, even when i was doing it not so rapidly.
I tried new sd card, without good result, i have 1.6 firmware for smoothest stabilization, tried to upgrade to the newest 2.1, but it looks like it's impossible to upgrade naked gopro, i got a message "Battery too low" when connected to balancer and trying to upgrade manually via putting files into sd card :/
I really think like You that it is connected to some voltage drops, but i really don't know what i could do with this. It looks like noone over the internet got similar problem to mine -_-

This is why I was suspicious about your BEC.

So do You think my bec is faulty? I was thinking about making and connecting another bec (matek 9v with 35v capacitor) between betafpv bec and lipo, like in this video below but i don't know if this would help. I have kinda low electronic knowledge and i don't know if i'm even looking in good direction Wink

Hi, glad I found this post since I've got exactly the same problem with exactly the same setup.
Really curious if you found the cause / a solution ?

Setup:
- Cinelog25 (2.5 inch)
- Naked GoPro Hero 6 black
- Betafpv case and BEC
- 1.6 firmware.
- Caddx Vista, and Crossfire

Exactly the same strips, at random
Sometimes when I record there is almost no stripes.
Next time I hit record, it's a lot of stripes, and everything in between.

I tried:
- Hooking up the cam directly to battery (without the drone in between, this way I ruled out interference from motor/caddx vista/crossfire)
- Switching SD cards
- It occurs way more at 4K than 2.7K
