Having trouble Binding to XM+ (help)
#1
Ok so I have RadioMaster TX16s Mkii 4-1.
Nazgul5 v2 XM+ Receiver FRSKY

So I choose frsky x2 and D16 and i pressed bind.
I then pressed the button on the XM+ and plugged the battery in while holding.
The green light and red light came on. Looked like it binded. so I pressed the final button on Radio and it made
beeping noises like it was trying to bind.
After all that I tried arming it and nothing happened.
I turned the drone off and tried again, nothing happned.

This might be important. I'm getting a failsafe warning when I start my Tx16s saying its not set.
Do i need to go into betaflight now?
Could my failsafe and arm button be different than in betaflight and thats why its not working?

Please help!

Also I kinda charred my battery xt60 port because i couldnt get it all the way plugged in. Battery is still healthy, I just hope I didnt fly my drone..... you think its ok?

Connect to betaflight and check the reciever tab for stick input.

Once you have verified stick input ,
check the mode tab and make sure all the switches are assigned the way you want them.
Thanks,
ED

Hi Sneak,

Get the transmitter ready, but DO NOT press Bind.
On the receiver {no power} press and hold the bind button,
While holding still holding the bind button plug in the battery.
This is a bit tricky, I have a push button switch on a battery lead.
I have also used an alligator clip to hold the butten down while plugging in the battery.
Release the bind button.
NOW, press Bind on the transmitter.
When done, power everything down.
Power up the transmitter.
Power up the quad.
It should now be bound.

Ok I got it to bind but my armed switch it reverse I guess I can figure that out.
Also it says my motors are reversed. My back Left and Front Right both turn Right. Back right and front left Turn left.
Im not sure which way to put these blades on. I feel really stupid right now.
There is a directional arrow mark on the Nazguls yellow blades but it doesnt look correct to me.
Like if i was to put them on with the directional arrow pointing in the same way to motors spin the high part of the prop is facing the drone and not the low part. I hope Im making sense here.
Sorry guys I feel so dumb lol. I just dont want to break anything.

The highest edge of the prop blade on each motor needs to be the forward leading edge when the motor spins.

Thank you Snow. I was just about to post that i figured it out lol. And I did get the Frsky XM+ binded. It was hard to press that button though while pluggin in the battery.
I ended up kinda charring the xt60 port on my battery cable but it still works thank god!
Do you think this will cause problems in the future?

Also I keep getting this Failsafe Warning when i start my radio because it hasnt been set. Is this a problem?

Im puttin props on now. Im gonna need to find a way to angle the antennas so they dont get chopped off also.

No, it's not an issue. Over time the connectors start to go a bit black/oxidised with all the connections you make where you can a small arc/spark

Go to the model settings on your transmitter and set the "Failsafe mode" to "No pulses". Then you will no longer get that warning message.
