Goggles Lose Signal on Takeoff
#1
Question
Hi everyone! Over the last month, I have been putting together my first build, and I've gotten pretty close to completion, but am struggling to figure out the last step.
I am able to start up my quad and connect my goggles to it, but when I take off my video feed cuts out almost immediately.

I'm not sure where my problem is coming from, as I am relatively new to this stuff, I don't have a great concept of where to start troubleshooting from.

My equipment:
Camera: Foxeer Pico Razer 1200TVL Camera
VTX: AKK FX3 Ultimate DVR 20x2 25-1000mW
Headset: Eachine EV800D
Flight controller: RDQ Bardwell F4 V2
Antenna: STRIX Hoot 5.8 MMCX FPV Antenna

I can provide any additional information that should be helpful, but if I could get some guidance on where to start with all this I would really appreciate it!

I have a feeling you are either in pitmode or not tuned into the right frequency on both your goggles receiver and your vtx.

If you have setup SmartAudio then you should be able to get out of pitmode via the Betaflight osd.

Also ensure you get the official vtx tables from here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1B97O...b6c1E/edit

I'll double-check my frequencies, though I think I set them up! I hadn't heard of pit mode before, but I double-checked it was turned off and with any luck, I'll be flying this afternoon haha.

Before you go out and test, can you take off the props and arm the quad on the desk to check if the video is consistent.

While doing the above also walk away from the quad to see if you still have video at pitmode will only work within a distance of 1-2 meters.

Also ensure the vtx is powered off a correct voltage pad and that the connection is not loose.
