Flysky FS-x6B receiver.
#1
Hi,

I have a FS-x6B receivr stuck in 'Update', two short and one long flash.

Is there a simple way to reset it.
I've tried most things I can think of.

Thanks for the pointers.
I was hoping there was a simpler answer to resetting the RX.

If all fails I'll attempt an update,

Kind regards,
Roy

I guess you have to decide if the really low cost of a receiver to buy new is worth the effort?

It's a learning exsperience but the main problem is the delay in getting a new one!
If I can figure out how I put it in Update in the first place I'd be a bit wiser.
Cheers.

Did you actually try and update the firmware on it?

I had a FS-x6b receiver in the past and back then we had to solder wires to the RX and flash firmware to get RSSI using a ST-Link adapter similar to what is described here: http://www.multirotorguide.com/guide/fly...-firmware/

No but thanks for your suggestion.
I don't have an adaptor at the moment and was hoping for a quick solution!

I'd like to know if anyone else has had this problem, it might be that the RX is bricked!

I've ordered an adaptor and a new RX but supply times seem to be getting longer.

Hi All,
Thanks to those who supported me.
Update.

Old RX is on the shelf for the moment, an adaptor for the update is on its way.!

New one working well.

Also; My project is Using a Holybro F745 AIO, (I ordered the analig version but the supplier sent the HDV and refused to exchage it or refund me).

Holybro told me that the RX input could only be used on R6 (only available in the HDV socket) when I asked if I could use R4.

Since I have attached the RX to R4 and all is working well (why Holybro told me this is unknown).

Since there is no OSD (analog) in/out on the HDV version I'm going to try using the MinimOSD MAVLink.

Any comments on this possibility would be welcomed.

Regards,
Roy

MinimOSD will work but you will need spare 5v and a spare full UART on your FC and an additional headache of managing the wiring and mounting another pcb baord somewhere in your build.

A new adventure!

I have a home built, 7 inch prop, carbon fibre frame, with the AIO FC and individual ESCs there is lots of room.
I'm using Ardupilot so more to learn.

Thanks for the support.
