Flight controller is not working!
#1
i am a beginner so,sorry Wink if it is a dumb question! I have a cloned sp3 racing(acro) fc.I flashed it with latest cleanflight firmware and done some settings like gyro, motor, esc calibration with micro usb.but when i connet 5v DC to vbat connection, noting happened no LEDs blinks.I checked power supply and connectors also.and when i checked voltage in UART1,3 or any GND,VCC port, there is no output voltage in FC.however flight controller is working in usb mode.I also could not configure PPM/PWM.So, any one can guess that what happened to my fc.

Vbat is designed to measure voltage from battery, not to power the board. Connect your 5v wire to any 5v pin on the board.
Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car

Yes, and on boards like this it is typical to connect the +5v to Motor 1 + (but any will work).

First, thanks for reply! I thought vbat is for 5v supply from battery for flight controller Big Grin.OK please suggest me where to connect 5v voltage supply.

Easiest way is where you have your motors connected on pins M1-M4, just connect your 5V supply to M5 pins

Any of these that say 5V Rail (at the bottom of photo).

One confusion! I want to connect ppm in receiver so, in which I have to connect the ppm wire and I have to also connect 5v voltage to receiver?

Yes it has to be powered too but there's another 5V/GND next to the ppm pin (see sloscotty's pic, left side).
That's where those 3 wires from your pic go.

Correct. Your flight controller is powered by a 5 volt power supply. When you connect the 3 wire cable to your receiver, it's receiving power from the flight controller.

Wink
ok! clear Smile but here is another problem-Cleanflight is not showing any stick movement(like roll,pitch,yaw..) during PPM,PWM or SBUS setup.

I've enabled the correct protocol - PWM or PPM and wired it correctly.I'm giving a picture of PPM setup.

That receiver isn't PPM compatible. Just PWM

Only PWM? What iF I change the receiver to this-http://m.banggood.com/Flysky-FS-A8S-2_4G-8CH-Mini-Receiver-with-PPM-i-BUS-SBUS-Output-p-1092861.html

You'll have to research to make sure it's compatible with your transmitter and if so yes, this is what you need as the F3 EVO isn't PWM compatible.  Isn't this hobby fun!

No need for research, A8S is not AFHDS compatible, only AFHDS 2A (FS/TGY i6, i6s, i6x, tgy evolution).

I tested it for a friend, it disconnects as soon as I switch my i6 to older version of protocol.

EDIT I'm assuming he has the FS 9x judging only by this monstrous RX
