Finally succumbed and built an AOS 3.5
#1
My Apex kind of ruined me.  I have built a lot of quads and have been generally happy till I flew a 5" apex and my mind was blown how smooth it was.  None of my other quads seemed flyable any more to me.  So I built an Apex 4" and loved it also.  But I really wanted a sub 250 for travel.  My Pirate Lil Matey was "ok" but just wasnt silky smooth like the Apex's.  Chalking it all up to low resonance frames I went ahead and ordered the AOS 3.5"!  Sooo Smooth!  I am happy.  It comes in at 245-250 AUW depending on which battery I use.  Running the BH 1504.5 3950kv motors.  I love those motors on the 3.5" platform!  Here is the first flight, raw footage, no gyroflow correction.
