Man are you tough on ELRS. Just because you are afraid of updating your TX does not mean the world should stop moving forward.
You do realize that this is a new thing right. How can they possibly come out with a final version that will never need an update if there are still new vendors joining the game with new hardware. Most of these new updates are for new targets.
If you want to stick with the older versions of Frsky that is fine, but no need to slam ELRS. It is a good thing.
It took me 1 afternoon to get my old stuff updated and switched over to ELRS.
Now all of my gear is on the same protocoll, has never been easier to update ( IF NEEDED ) way outperforms my Frsky stuff and is much cheaper.
Just bought a couple of EP2's rx's for $13.00 ea.
Also I have several ( old ) XM+'s and R-XSR's that are for sale if you need them.

Hi Scott,
Yes, I am concerned about changing my transmitter firmware. At some point, I will buy a RadioMaster TX16S or
what ever version is new at that time. From everything that I have found, changing my Jumper T16 is quite an
undertaking since it is an original and doesn't have OpenTX. So yes, that is a big concern for me. Plus, I just
don't like upgrading firmwares every day...on anything.
I apologize if it sounds like I am slamming ELRS. I didn't intend to upset anyone, SORRY. Actually, I understand and I am glad that things are moving along because I would like to change
at some point in time. However, right now the upgrades are just too frequent for me to take the plunge.
In time things will settle down a bit. I do like what ELRS is and where it seems to be going. It makes a nice little
package for tiny whoops and small toothpicks for sure. When this all settles down, I should be able to buy a new
RadioMaster transmitter, buy ELRS gear, install the configurator, and go.
I do realize that ELRS is still very much a "Beta" product and not fully mature. That is fine.
I also understand that software in this hobby seems to get released without a lot of testing
and debugging...just create it, throw it out there, let the public test it, and see where it flies.
I guess that is just the nature of the beast.
I hate what FrSky did with their products; that really bites.
Now, I am still considering TBS Crossfire, but not sure that I want to jump just yet since everything
that I have still works.
I am not even sure that the Ghost product will work with my Jumper, but should with a new RadioMaster.
Hopefully, things will be a bit different when I decide to buy a new RadioMaster. At that time, I will
consider how things are going and I will very likely give ELRS a try. It is certainly worth the money.
Anyway, I apologize for appearing to be hard on ELRS.
