Expected Tinyhawk 2 Race range?
#16
That’s because the antenna is direct soldered to the vtx and the only time it’s removed is for repair/replacement..
Also, not until recently the thing hawk AIO boards came with a 25mw vtx.. so the range sucked no matter what antenna u put on it..do a “tinyhawk vtx upgrade” search.. you will see A WHOLE LOT MORE..

Yep...already ordered a lollipop for it and linear set just to make sure that is the problem before switching.  May keep linear on there if reception is decent.  Not going for long distance anyhow...thats what my 3" tadpole and 5" roma are for.

MANY things can degrade video range... just rough list..
1. pitmode. Video loss in 10m (30ft)
2. Damaged/chopped up antenna. Maybe 100m.
3. Autoscan.. wrong channel. Its easy to confuse 5865Mhz and 5864Mhz. Close up looks ok, but far away video distortion.
4. Black or white bands - power noise. Keep yelpow video wire away from ESC, and add lowESR.

Above all else, you need clear Line Of Sight. no hills or many trees blocking.
