esc firmware issue
#1
Question
Hey guys. Im looking for some help with my escs. I got racerstar 35amp escs from banggood and i got them soldered up to my quad. I went into blehi suite to flash the lastest firmware. It connected fine and showed they had 16.3. On banggoods website it shows to flash AH20 16.4 but in the list of the firmware it doesnt show that one. I was going to use AL20 16.4 but it gave and error that could cause a problem to flash a firmware version so i didnt flash anything to avoid messing anything up. Any suggestions. The escs work though i calibrated and everything works fine otherwise.  Here is a link of the escs i have.

If you go to "Flash BLHeli" then you see current with a name, something like racestar maybe, do you see that exact same name also in the drop-down list?

Try BLHeli Configurator, it's easier for flashing Smile

Is the configurator still in developing status or is it already reliable enough to use it for everyone?

I flashed AH20 16.4 on my ESCs using blheli configurator without an issue. I havent yet to test fly after the flash though but everything seems ok. Ill update.

After flashing ENSURE the settings are correct and that they haven't been overwritten by defaults (happens sometimes)

BLHeli Configurator always migrates settings using a smart algorithm.

I think they are good i hooked it back up to blheli configurator and its shows its AH20 16.4 it was showing AH20 16.3 before the flash. So i think its ok. Ill get a screen shot when i get home and post it.

they should all show in synch (if you switched the cable in the motors) remaining settings should be in line everywhere
also have you seen this

Thanks for this video. I wish i would found this when i tried using blheli suite at first. Ill double check and make sure everything is ok when i can Im at work yet. But i remember every is the same but ill check again to be sure. And i did swap the wires on my motors so i wouldnt have the change the motor direction in blheli. If there is a problem should i use bheli suite and flash this way instead then?
