what is the difference between f500hz and d500hz?

This is the fastest modulation and should really only be used for close proximity racing because it doesn't have the range like the LoRa modulation does. The "D" means Deja Vu Diversity Aid (DVDA) mode whereby each data packet is sent twice in 500Hz mode or 4 times in 250Hz mode and is for use in environments with a lot of interference so at least one of the data packets has a chance of getting through without any data corruption. This also makes use of FLRC modulation and not LoRa so is also good for racing but it's not as fast as pure FLRC. EDIT: You can find more info in the ExpressLRS documentation HERE. |
