Eachine EV200D the new and massively improved EV100 FPV goggle
#16
Anyone have ANY idea when these Eachine EV200D goggles will be released for public orders?  Seems like they have been "under testing/review" for a long while and i haven't seen any posted reviews from actual use yet.  I'm looking at purchasing my first set of goggles (I have the box-style EV800D and am looking to upgrade) and am trying to decide whether to wait for the EV200Ds to come out or go ahead with Aomway Commander. Thanks.

I'm in the same boat. When I found out that the EV200's will be able to use aftermarket Fatshark style receivers I decided to wait for them. I'm a patient guy but it does seem to be taking exceptionally long. Hopefully they aren't having issues.

Yeah, I have waited a long time for it. I heard they would be released in December 2017, then it's said in February and March, now it's still in delay. Anyone knows when it will be released exactly?

BangGood product page said release on the 15th of August, all the way up until yesterday, when it changed to the 12th September!
After watching a few reviews from JB, UAV Futures and AndyRC they may be trying to implement changes to the lenses/IPD adjustment as all 3 reviewers said the same thing - that the middle of the image was not entirely visible, (left of the screen for the right eye and right of the screen for the left eye) they did all agree that between their 2 eyes they could see all that needed to be seen, but it's possible that for some this would not be the case.

Also the reviews showed that some of the OSD information was being cut off from the extreme edges of the view, so this may be another issue that Eachine are working to correct...

Considering I posted this preview on the 2nd of November last year it seems that Eachine could do with something to induce the birth of their baby as it has been over 9 months now!

It's pretty unlikely that they are making hardware changes at this late stage in the day IMO. I think its more likely just a supply and demand issue. Some people on RCGroups already have theirs. I think the delay in shipping the rest is just due to a manufacturing backlog. Shipping of white ones do however seem to be delayed compared to the black ones. No-one who ordered a white pair has received them in that colour yet.

Yeah, probably just wishful thinking on my part!

Maybe BG are sending out the (447) units that people have pre-ordered before listing them for general sale... The site still only has a "pre-order" option available. Personally I would have thought you should get over 500 units on a pallet though. *impatient*  Dodgy

Yeah. I have no idea why an odd number of pre-orders. Maybe there were 53 of the units that were defective and had to go back for rework Huh Either way, the goggles seem to have turned out quite well other than the issue with that bit of plastic getting in the way. I prematurely discounted them pretty early on due to a couple of early iffy reviews by Kabab FPV but later reviews by others seem to have addressed those initial concerns.

One thing to be aware of if you've not already read through the thread on RCGroups is that a few people are commenting on how hot the modules seem to get. I'm not sure how critical this is. Probably not in the UK but in South Africa it may be a different story. Just something to keep in mind I guess.

I will be getting in contact with BG after the weekend to find out when mine will be sent out... Bear with me, I want them to come now too!

Not on here (yet) that I know of but loads of members on RCGroups already have them. Black ones only mind. There seems to be some sort of delay with stocking of the white ones. The main EV200D thread on RCGroups is HERE. Just go to the end and then work backwards for reports from users who already have them.
