Connecting to FC takes me to CLI mode- Beta flight
#1
Photo
Hi
This is my first time flashing or connecting a flight controller.

i bought an Omnibus F4 pro and tried to connect it to beta flight.
i originally tried flashing it with ardupilot software, however, i don't remember if the board was connected/ had the same problem.

Currently, on betaflight when i click connect it takes me to a CLI mode with a warning saying the current software is not compatible and when i click update firmware it disconnects the board.

Im using a mac to do this if that helps narrow the problem.

(imgur image hopefully is readable, attatched image incase)

I want to flash it with beta flight but dont know how!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

welcome to the forum! unfortunately, the imgur link is broken on my end, and i dont see an attached image. I think what you may be experiencing is normal behavior though. When you update a board via betaflight it does disconnect. the update page relies on you to know your own board target(looks to be 'omnibusf4SD'), and then choose the version you want to use (i recommend not using 4.4, anything 4.3 and below is fine). Then plug in your board while holding the bootloader button(its near the usb plug).

Thanks Matt,

You have saved me from buying a new controller in desperation to get this working lol

Cheers.
