connect tmotor FC to flywoo robo 1002
#1
Hi,
I bought the flywoo nano baby 20. Sadly the gyro of the FC is not working anymore.
I would like to replace the defect FC with the tmotor f4 HD AIO (2s-3s) from my Tron 80.
Flying it with 2s lipo's shouldn't be a problem.
What about flying with 3s lipos? Can the motors flywoo robo 1002 handle it or do I have to adjust the motor power in BF?

I put the links to the products below:
Tron 80 TRON 80 WHOOP HD Digtal VTX_Drones_FPV_T-MOTOR Store-Official Store for T-motor drone motor,ESC,Propeller (tmotor.com)
flywoo robo 1002 motors Flywoo ROBO 1002 15500KV / 23500KV Fpv Motor – FLYWOO

Thanks for you help!

Those motors are only rated for 2s, so you’ll want to put a motor limit on them for 3s. 66% would put you safely in the manufacturer’s 2s rating. You could go higher, but you may risk burning out a motor.

You can set betaflight to detect the difference between a 2s and 3s battery and automatically apply a motor limit on 3s:

Go to the pid tuning tab in betaflight.
In pid profile 1, under “motor output limit”, leave scale factor at 100%, and set “cell count” to 2.
Now click on pid profile 2.
Set scaling to 66%, and set cell count to 3.

If you add pid profile to your osd, you’ll know this is working because it’ll say “pid profile 1” is when you have a 2s battery plugged in, and “pid profile 2” when you have a 3s plugged in.
Dangerous operations.

Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about.
I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose.
