0 31-Dec-2023, 03:33 AM I have the Woofly Firefly that I've flown plenty of times. Lost it after flight a week ago. Found after 15 minutes. Didn't fly anymore that day. Today, I couldn't get the radio to bind, so I connected to the PC and launched Betaflight, which wouldn't connect. I restarted Betaflight and the PC, still no connection... cannot even see it in the manual selection options; also, the PC does not chime upon connection to the flight controller. Another flight controller does connect over the same USB port and using the same cable. All LED's on the Firefly appear to light as expected, but I don't know what they mean. Anyone have experience with this? Or have a doc that explains the LED's on the "GOKU Versatile F405 2S 12A AIO" board? Is this thing possibly toast after sitting connected to the battery for only 15 minutes? Thanks!

0 Under usage precautions...
2. Do not keep the power on when the device is on the ground for an extended period of time to avoid
hardware damage caused by high temperatures.
So... don't lose it for long because it WILL burn itself up! Funny thing, I was just trying to fly it after installing a Vifly.

786 It sounds like the 3.3V voltage regulator chip on the FC has probably fried itself. That regulator is responsible for powering the MCU. With no power to the MCU you won't get any response from it, and it won't be able to control anything on the FC. If there is a 3.3V pad somewhere on the FC, use a multimeter to check the voltage reading between that pad and a GND pad. If you don't see a reading of 3.3V then it means that the voltage regulator chip is dead.

0 Thanks for that info! Since my last post, a bottom-side LED has begin lighting (yellow or green) and the FC power-cycles about every 10 seconds. Waiting to hear back from Flywoo support for better confirmation and possible next steps... I have one of their larger quads on order so I'm curious if all their boards are this sensitive... definitely don't want to lose that one for an extended period of time.

786 If the FC is power cycling by itself then it definitely sounds like the onboard voltage regulator has gone bad unfortunately. The Flywoo GOKU FC's generally seem to have a good track record for reliability, so maybe you just got unlucky.
