if you disconnect smartaudio it will probably work.

I'll try tommorow to wire the SmartAudio to T6 instead of T1 and see if it will work.

Okay, Didnt solved, what I tried:

Switching from T1 to T6, and changing the corresponding port config - didn't work.
Flashed same FW again and applied custom defaults, tried only configuring SmartAudio - didn't work
With the FW flashed applied my dump - didn't work

There's no way that the pad isn't making contact, tested continuity and seems to be fine.
Just to be sure - I'm connecting TBS pin on VTX to T6 pad at FC.

I have not used any AKK VTX for a while now, but i remember a couple of years ago there was an issue with Betaflight compatibility with AKK VTX.
A custom firmware must be used in order to get SmartAudio working on AKK VTX back then, not sure if that's the case for your VTX but it's worth a shot.

You can find the custom firmware for AKK VTX in the firmware flasher like so:

I'm sorry but how do I flash the VTX?

I'm OK without SA if the buttons would change the frequency, but I'm afraid it's not working. I click or hold the Button 1 and it does nothing. Im not sure what's going on, the button seems to be fine. Later today I'll try to desolder the TBS pad pad on the VTX and see if post #16 is true.

Hope the VTX isn't broken.

It's not firmware for the VTX, it's a custom Betaflight build for compatibility with some AKK VTXs. You'd flash it using Betaflight configurator like Oscar's screenshot above.

So that will replace the betaflight version that i'm using?

I believe my VTX is somehow bad. I disconnected TBS wire and still the vtx didn't event respond to the button click. The other button that is the record for the dvr works fine.

Appears that the VTX is in some type of deadlock, I initially thought about pit mode but the signal is very good even far away. Very strange behavior. Im in contact with AKK to see if there's a fix for this.

The only other option other than the vtx has a problem is the button is broken and somehow theres a problem with the smartaudio compatibility.

All signs point to the VTX being bad. I hope AKK or the vendor help you out with a replacement.

The good thing its still transmitting at raceband 2 at ( i believe) 1000mw hahaha

Yea probably just a dead processor in the VTX hence not taking any inputs.

The strange part is that I still can fly 100% normal with crystal clear video. But it’s a pain in the ass to fly with friends or other people hahaha.
DVR still works fine too.

Very strange behavior.

Just an update: at my last session the led of the VTX went crazy randomly blinking and kept outputting very low power video ( 100m range max at 1w ). Changed to a rush tank ultimate 2 and managed to get SA working just fine.

When my FC shorted bat and gnd it must have lightly damaged the VTX. But, AKK does have some compatibility problem with Betaflight, hope this topic helps someone in the future.

My AKK had “performance problems” out the gate.. my diamond dvr vtx that I installed on my TH freestyle also had power issues... I wonder if it has to do with the onboard dvr ??
I didn’t realized how BAD the video transmission was untill i flew with a proper working vtx....
I do remember having SA issues with the AKK. Mostly due to the betaflight update and having to load the vtx tables... but even prior, manually (button) upping the power didn’t work well.. and I’m 99% sure I may have had to “unlock it” also
