Can't find replacement pieces of my Cinewhoop V2 :(
#1
So I bought a cinewhoop V2 a few years ago and the other day I broke the top frame on a little accident. Im trying to find the replacement and all I find is parts of the V3, even in the iflight web https://shop.iflight-rc.com/search.html?...een+hornet

Any idea of what can I do?

Things in this hobby move on so fast that it is always a good insurance policy to buy a spare frame and/or some of the spare parts for a frame that are most likely to get damaged such as a few spare arms and a top plate. Just something to keep in mind for the future. I usually buy at least a couple of extra spare arms.

If you can't find replacement parts or another complete frame of the same anywhere then your only options will be:
  1. Reach out to iFlight support and ask if they have any new-old-stock top plates for that quad kicking around in their factory or stock cupboard somewhere.

  2. Try to find someone who can cut you a new top plate from some carbon fibre sheet. You might need to provide your existing broken top plate as a template, or create your own CAD file by copying the design using measuring tools and CAD software and then sending the carbon cutting company those CAD files.

  3. Try to find someone who is selling a used quad of the same and use it for donor parts.

It looks like you might be in luck. iFlight only seem to have changed the bottom plate on the Green Hornet Cinewhoop between the V2 and V3 version (it has different cutouts so is likely stronger). So it looks like you can just buy a V3 top plate and it will fit.
