Hi,

Caddx Turtle v2. It has microphone, it can record video + audio on SD card. 

But can it output audio? I mean I would like to connect it with VTX to have audio feed in my goggles.

I wonder if you can just piggyback the mic signal where it connects to the board.

Thanks, that was my idea too but it turned out that the VTX (TBS UNIFY PRO32 NANO) does not have audio input

In which case you're unfortunately out of luck unless yo swap the VTX to one that can take an audio input.

You have to piggyback the Smartaudio for audio input on the VTX.

The SmartAudio connection doesn't always work for audio input even though it's supposed to by design, but I guess there is no harm in giving it a try.

Hmm, interesting, if I understand correctly I can use both SmartAudio and audio over one cable. I'm used to TBS Unify Pro which has separated inputs for SmartAudio and audio so I haven't even realized that something like that is possible. Now I start to understand why it is called SmartAudio Thank you! I will try it.

Any luck getting audio over SmartAudio on the Unify Pro32 Nano?

I usually put a VTX on quads with either a mic or dedicated audio input but never tried the Unify Pro32 Nano and looking at the product manual it says that there is no audio on 6.5MHz.

I am thinking of putting the Unify Pro32 Nano on a toothpick build and was hoping I can still get audio.

UPDATE: I hooked up a Rush AGC 5v Mic to the SmartAudio pad on the Unify Pro32 Nano and it did not work. I even de-soldered the SmartAudio wire connected to the FC to check if there was a conflict but no luck.

FINAL UPDATE: I submitted a support ticket with TBS and Mike Chin explained that this was a hardware limitation and that the Unify Pro32 Nano does not support analog audio via an external microphone. The SmartAudio implementation only allows for VTX control via FC.
