I tried to ask CADDX this but their contact page puts me into an endless recaptcha loop.

I have a new Ratel 2 camera which defaults to PAL output. I would like to set it to NTSC. When I plug in the camera joystick and push the button, the camera settings menu comes up. The joystick, however, does not operate after that. I cannot move around in the menu and I cannot select a sub-menu. The camera must be powered down to leave the menu. I tried two different CADDX joysticks and neither allows me to change the settings. Am I missing something? Thanks.

The keypad just connects a bunch of different resistors to change the voltage going to the OSD pin. Could be the reference voltage is off, or the OSD pin is off. Maybe you can try connecting up a pot instead and see if you can get it trip the necessary commands.

The caddx cameras use different key mapping from Runcam but the fundamentals are the same

Two issues solved today! It looks like my contact with caddx did make it through. Silvis Joe for the win! The camera takes 4.5Vdc at the low end. On USB power the VTX is only sending 4.4Vdc. I plugged a battery in, the supply went up, and the joystick works as expected. I was starving it.
