Building first 210 drone ... Need help!
#61
So, you don't have Smartaudio or Tramp control on the VTX. So you don't need to worry about the VTX section in BFC. You will just manually change the channel and band according to the manual.

I was able to setup an arm switch, but when I arm the drone only 3 motors spin.
When I increase the throttle all 4 motors spin but the Taranis says "Sensor Loss" and the motors continue spinning at high throttle and will not stop.

You have older esc. So you can only run analog esc protocol like oneshot. You need to calibrate your esc.

I do have the protocol set to oneshot, but it says that this esc should be able to work in Dshot300 but I never tried that.

But the calibrating of my esc using Betaflight worked ... Thank you! ... All 4 motors now spin when I flick the arm switch.

However, when I apply throttle the throttle sticks and increases by itself and the only way to stop it is by pulling the lipo. The taranis audio keep saying "sensor loss". My components are listed in my very first post, am I suppose to have antennas installed? Could this be what is causing the taranis to keep saying "sensor loss"?

If you can run dshot, I would do that.

Are you throttling up without props?

Yes, without props. Thanks, according to the video this is normal, I have to try hoovering outdoors.

I am now noticing on Betaflight, when I move the quadcopter it s movements are mirrored on Betaflight. If I tilt the head down, it shows the tail going down and if I tilt it to the left it shows it tilting to the right.

Got it! ... I had to put the Board Alignment to 180 Yaw Degrees.

I am not sure how to mount everything, especially the antennas and the lipo.  Please see the attached pictures. I have the lipo strapped on top, but I fear it may slide out in flight even though it feels pretty secure. The antennas are mounted in the rear and I will stick the GPS in the front on top of the frame. I will use an extension jumper to plug in the lip. Is my setup okay?

I would point the receiver antenna about 45 degree or even 90 degrees into the ground. This way, it is less prone to getting clip by the props. If you have a 3D printer, you can design a mount and use tubing to protect the antenna.

I would also put some cutoff props blades over the motor wires to protect it from the props and tie wrap or electrical tape them down. I personally like my wire mesh, but it will be too much trouble at this point.
