I have this Apex 5” with the 60a hobbywing stack and vista that I would like to fly on the new Betaflight update. Before I go and test fly this has anyone had issues with this new update ? I have read a few stories about quads that started disarming or wouldn’t disarm so I’m a little worried. Usually I wait to see if any issues show up in other people that are testing this new update but this is my beater quad so I figured what the heck. Thank you for any advice or suggestions.

Edit Reason: Fixed hyperlink. ) Only you can really decide if you want to take the risk or not. I suggest you have a look through the Betaflight issues list at the link below and see if you are happy to run a firmware with all the issues that are still showing as outstanding, or which are supposedly fixed but haven't yet made it into the latest Betaflight 4.3.0 release candidate. https://github.com/betaflight/betaflight/issues 17-Feb-2022, 06:12 PM (17-Feb-2022, 05:59 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: Only you can really decide if you want to take the risk or not. Ok… I’ll play it safe and down grade till they get it figured out. Do I go back to the old 10.7 and flash the board from there ? I have my diff all and dump saved. 17-Feb-2022, 06:26 PM You can use the Betaflight 10.8.0 RC3 release for the 4.2.x firmware equipped quads but even that is still effectively a beta release so there could be a few bugs. Personally I would play it safe and run the 10.7.2 configurator for Betaflight 4.2.x and prior firmware. I have both versions of the configurator on my computer so I can switch between the two as I see fit, but I'm not flying anything on the Betaflight 4.3.0 release candidates. I only have the 10.8.0 configurator on my machine for reference purposes. I use the 10.7.2 configurator to configure my quads with. 17-Feb-2022, 06:30 PM (17-Feb-2022, 06:26 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: You can use the Betaflight 10.8.0 RC3 release for the 4.2.x firmware equipped quads but even that is still effectively a beta release so there could be a few bugs. Better safe then sorry. |
