5S Battery
#1
Any one know where i can find a 5S 2000 mAh 70 - 80C battery?  I've found  a 2200 mAh, but not a 2000 which is what I would really like to have.  I would try an 1800, but I haven't seen that either.  Looked everywhere I know of.  If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate hearing them, thanks!!  Smile

Couldn't find a 2000mAh either....I did find an 1800mAh, at 65c-130c for all that really means anymore.....Curious why you don't want to go bigger in the mAh range?

Weight.  I am not sure the extra amps would offset the additional weight.  I may find that it would actually work better, but I thought I would start a little lower.  Thanks John!

I just looked at that 1800......it weighs in a 468g. The 2200 I was looking at was only 323g (if memory serves) Thats a big drawback of those graphine batteries...the weight. Maybe I will go for the 2200. Thanks for the help John....appreciate it!

I hear ya on the weight issue.  FWIW, my 4s 6inch works very well with 2200mah....I didn't see a drop off in range until I got to 2600mah...and yes the graphenes suck for weight.  I'll keep looking and if I find something I'll let you know.

Getting down to picking batteries,,,gonna be in the air soon.....right?  Big Grin Popcorn

Thanks John, I appreciate it.  I would  like to get in the air soon, but lots of irons in the fire at the moment.  I need to get some flights in around here just to get a feel for the flight characteristics....I have flown it a couple of times just for very short periods of time using the tune out of the box.  I have since adjusted my rates, but haven't had a chance to try it yet.  Additionally I may have some GPS problems...with 11 sats yesterday the position was several hundred feet off.  It was only carrying it out to the minutes....that may improve if I can get it to carry it out to seconds.  I may be expecting too much....I am used to GPS with sub centimeter accuracy, but I suspect thats not happening with a 20 dollar unit ROFL

Damn....I even looked on the Max Amp site and didn't see it.  Thanks voodoo, that may be what I am looking for.  It's a little out of my price range at the moment but ill keep it at the top of the list. Big Grin

I can't imagine spending $90 for Max Amp.

Thanks Voodoo...you are obviously better at finding these things then I am. I got a 2200 from RDQ and it is approximately the same weight although it was more expensive. I'll see how this one performs and then I may order the ZOP as well. Thanks for your help!

Some of us here have started dabbling with long range quads...those capable of flying out 5km or more.  In order to achive that kind of range. they require a little more longevity in the battery.  I bought a 5S 2200mAh battery.  I will see how that works and if it turns out to be a little heavier then I like I'll try something a little smaller.  Thanks for the response!
