Isn't it annoying when you had to go home with fully charge batteries? two quads went down in the same session one FC died, one has a bad RX connection need re soldering... Time for repairing! 26-Nov-2017, 05:39 PM (This post was last modified: 26-Nov-2017, 05:53 PM by flightmode0.) Both died in flight? Do you have to travel far to get to your flying spots? I blame Murphy. I remember first time I landed in mud. The ESC was not coated so one motor was twitching from electrical malfuction, the quad sounded like a wounded animal. 26-Nov-2017, 05:46 PM bummer! I know the feeling of catastrophe quite well... I don't have nearly enough skills to fly the ways that I do sometimes and it bites me on the rear... even more than that my builds always have some problem or another with them so they're always falling apart. Either way I sympathize with your pain bud! I actually charge more batteries than I need these days so I often come home with charged batteries. I take 14 out with me and usually come home with 3-5 still charged. I have a discharger now so its easy enough to put them in storage charge carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 26-Nov-2017, 10:38 PM here is the flight today before they died 27-Nov-2017, 06:30 AM (26-Nov-2017, 10:38 PM)Oscar Wrote: Isn't it annoying when you had to go home with fully charge batteries? two quads went down in the same session Oh NO man! Personally I prefer to go home with an undischarged pack or 2 than a busted quad... Or 2! Windless fields and smokeless builds 27-Nov-2017, 10:36 PM Bummer. Flight video looks fun to the max though. Have you ever setup some high speed slalom gates? That would be cool to see. Oscar try to get your hands on the TS 100 soldering iron... i got it as a birthday gift last year... and it rocks... it can be operated either with your desktop power supply .... or from a lipo battery from that moment i've used it multiple times in the field and it is my "go to" tool if i want to do something precise. - antenna leaf not poped out from its socket.. soldering ... back into the air... - signal cable torn apart by some nasty prop... soldering + electric tape... back in the air... it has plenty of "cool" features that i find useless... yet auto cooldown is... a cool feature and i love it. also it has a short time needed between power on and getting it ready for soldering - great for such inpatient folks like my self.. if you'd be interested i can write a longer post about pros and cons. it is all matter of how often you have time to fly and how many quads you have with you for lazy folks: https://goo.gl/g5Skgh All the best Grzesiek (Grisha/ Greg) Curently flyable: Nox 5, Minimalist 112 Bench / in progres: fixing Nox 3, Scrap thinking about building: 450 |
