I did decide to go bit different then most wing newbys on this forum but the Dart XL Extreme just looks so cool and appears to be pretty stable. So I have some questions on FCs etc to buy. I just ordered the pnp kit from Bangood and based on past orders they truly are shipped by “ slow boat from China “ lol so I have awhile before it gets here. It comes with 2216-1300kv motor, 30A w5v 3A BEC ESC, 9g metal gear servos and recommends 4s-3300mah. I already have a Frsky x4r rx, Mach 2 VTX and various FPV cameras. I need to buy a FC and was looking at a marek 411 wing but wasn’t sure if telemetry with my X4R was going to be a problem with the limited Uarts? Will this work for me or do I need to go to the matek 405? I also plan to use GPS and any recommendation on which one? Any other thoughts or recommendations? I am using a Taranis qx7 transmitter. If not, you should be able to use it for sport and any uart for sbus. I have sworn off BG unless there is not another vendor with the product and unfortunately I had to go with BG and my XL is not scheduled to arrive until end of January. I had the same questions as you and after literally reading/watching numerous sites about wings, FC for wings, Inav, etc. I decided to go with the Matek f405Wing for 3 reasons. First, it is a proven FC for wings....so it should be pretty easy to setup Second, I found a a few YT builds that do builds with the F405 Third, i found a YT site (i have been subscribed for a year or so) that pretty much does a step by step build with the F405 and Inav. Here is the site This site also has a good bit of vids on Inav for beginners (thats me). So the Zohd XL, Matek F405 with Inav, Beitian 880, and Frsky R9mm will be my spring project. My Zohd XL which was scheduled for delivery on January 10,2020 just arrived  . This was a direct answer to prayer .
When i ordered it on Oct 28, it was supposed to be 7-15 business days and I was really frustrated when I found out it was re-scheduled for Ocean shipment. I even contacted CS and tried to cancel but they said no its already shipped. So, it turns up today 19 business days later instead of months. So, it didnt make the 'slow boat' and came the way it was initially supposed to. I'm a happy camper.
By coincidence, I have the F405 on the bench soldering the pins. So, I'm good.
Hopefully yours will arrive early as well
