X220s with flysky ia6b query
#1
Question
Hey, so I've been flying in a simulator with the i6x for about 2 months now and am just about to order the wizard x220s ARF, but I have no clue how to solder/ connect the IA6B receiver to the flight controller. Can somebody explain please? I don't have any wires since none came with the transmitter and receiver bundle, but would they be included in the drone? Thanks in advance

There should a connector to the receiver where you can cut to solder to the FC on the Wizard. You will connect the IA6B receiver IBUS to a free UART RX on the FC. You need to find a 5V and ground source on the FC to the receiver.

On a side note, there are two versions of the Wizard x220s. The older one with F3 (SP Racing F3) and the newer F4 (Omnibus F4). Get the newer one with F4. Betaflight support for F3 FC has ended.

Whatever you do, just do not be tempted get the X220HV. It's a pile of Poop and is motor de-sync city, especially on 6S.

Thank you! Do you know what colours go to where? Does the wire come with the drone? Sorry, I'm completely new here!

Don't rely on wire color. You want to look at the diagram. But common colors are black for ground, red for voltage. Signal wire can be any other color.
