Wizard x220s ARF with X8R receiver (rx_failsafe)
#1
I have an old Eachine wizard x220s that I bought in 2016 or something, have just borrowed a X8R from a friend to try and get it up and running.
In betaflight I have no stick inputs and have rx_failsafe as an arming issue. My Taranis QX7 and the X8R are bound.

- Flashed latest betaflight to Omnibus F4 V3 Flight Contoller
- Not sure what firmware the X8R has on it, but I managed to bind my QX7 when I flashed firmware_x7_lbt_en_200617 and XJT_EU170317.
- I have the Gnd, 5V and SBUS wires from the X8R going into the Gnd, 5V and dedicated PPM/SBUS ports on the FC. And the SBUS/PPM switch is soldered for SBUS.
- Green LED on X8R
- But no stick inputs in betaflight and arming flag rx_failsafe is always there.

Can anyone please help me, I've tried all the UARTS, I've tried using the Smart Port, I've checked the soldering. I've tried set serialrx_inverted ON/OFF and set serialrx_halfduplex ON/OFF.

I have no idea what to do

dump and a couple of photos attached

Thanks you Smile

Your wiring all looks correct but one of your Betaflight settings is incorrect. Run the following commands in the CLI and then check for stick movements again in the Receiver tab...

Code:
set serialrx_inverted = OFF
save

Wow - my brain was just so muddled with information, I was losing the plot!
I now have stick input in betaflight, thank you so much.
My channels are wrong so I will now re-map my channels but it's so nice to see stick movement!
Thank you so very, very much

No problem. I'm glad it turned out to be a simple fix.
