I was having a issue with my Frsky X4R loosing signal when I would fly more than a couple hundred yards away and I had actually lost my previous Nazgul5 from the same issue, everything is normal and then all the sudden the RSSI alarm goes off and then it was gone. It had happened several times and I have lost 2 quads because of it, so I switched to Spektrum tx/rx. I have had success in the past with Spektrum stuff and other than the compatibility issues, it is great. Then today I went to my usual spot to fly, wide open fields, and did a lap and as I was going back around the quad just lost signal and tumbled out of the air. I was 100 yards from where it dropped and I can't wrap my head around why this is happening. Obviously, the Tx/Rx doesn't seem to matter, so I am wondering if its something that I am doing. Could it be the way I have the antennas set up on my quad (ty-wrapped to the arms of the quad on the bottom)? Could it be something like signal interference?
I am absolutely addicted to flying my quad, but I am scared to fly it anywhere that's not within eyesight for fear of loss! I would really appreciate any input anyone might have so that hopefully I can get this thing fixed and back to normal!
Thanks
