What does this tiny board do? Namimno Flash Oled Bundle
#1
I recently made the switch to ELRS for all my quads, so I started with the Namimno Flash Oled bundle. Very pleased with the quality, but as usual no instructions whatsoever, no problem. But one thing has me puzzled. In the bundle was a tiny pcb board I cannot find any info on. Does anyone know what this pcb does and how to use it?

Writing on the component says C045.

It's a fast inverter. It is only needed if you own a FrSky QX7 (ACCST version) transmitter or a FrSky Horus X10S / X12 (ACCST version) transmitter. You wire it onto the mainboard of either of those transmitters to give an increased baud rate which is needed for the CRSF protocol.

If you don't own one of those transmitters then you don't need it.

EDIT: Here is how you would wire it in...

Very quick response thank you SnowLeopard, I guess this bundle was even more complete than I thought ;-) I'm flying on TX16S so luckily need for this mod.

No problem Smile

I also bought the same Namimno bundle just recently...

I had a few teething issues but I'm really impressed with the quality of what I consider to be a "no name" (or at least a previously unknown) brand. It looks a lot better than ExpressLRS hardware I've seen coming from Happymodel and BetaFPV.

I too was most impressed with the hardware quality (I tend to open up anything technical I get my hands on ;-) but as you said... the system istself needs a bit of getting used to. Mine didn't (and still doens't) want to connect to my home wifi. But I suspect the router is the problem, running some strange hosting company firmware. Not a functionality I'm going to miss I think.

The RX and TX wifi networks work well for updating. Sofar I found this the easiest method to update them both. Sometimes it takes a bit longer for my macbook to pick up the RX or TX wifi network but it works flawlessly once connected. I never use the configurator to 'build and flash' the firmware. I always flash via browser on IP 10.0.0.1 For me atleast, this has been the most reliable method.

Just read some posts from your thread, I had a similar USB issue with my DJI Goggles and Vista's only updating via USB3.0 ports. Not all USB is created equal... Glad to see you got it all working well.

P.S. you might want to consider the 'ceramic antenna RX' for your Phantom. Keep the T's for something bigger.
