VAS Pepperbox 5.8 not getting range?

The receiver never even went to the the omni antenna the entirety of the flight, so I'd guess that means its working. It was pretty rock solid and I got nervous when the crossfire went to 1 from 2 lol so I turned around.

Thanks for the follow-up.  Any idea what distance you were at at the turn around?

based on google maps it was  about 1445 meters - honestly the video didnt even crackle but one time when I flew over an electric tower, and I'd call it mild breakup at worst. My hands started to get a little shaky though and I was worried if I'd make it back or if I'd lose connection. I have PTSD from my R9 setup even though I'm on crossfire now.

Following post - @bigbeard will you record and post dvr here?

I have the same goggles and looking to buy the new pepper box antenna in the near future. I also fly in an area with power lines and I’m curious if my signal sucks because of this.

I currently have the vas crosshair antenna with an Omni axii...

Soon I will do more testing. I have convinced my wife to find a distant location for us to travel and go test my drones Wink

Hey Sorry I just saw this - yeah I can fly out  and record it. I just built a 7" for cruising, so that'll have the GPS info clearly in the screen cap. we have a fkn blizzard on its way here, but sometime next week it is supposed to get above 30 degrees again and I'll go fly!
