Uncommanded Roll/Flip, DJI/ELRS
#1
OK, Equipment in use today:-

GEPRC Mk 5 ELRS with DJI Air Unit (twin antenna)
DJI Goggles v2
Frsky Horus X12S with Namimno Flash 2.4GHz module
6S 1850mAh LiPo

A combination I have been using a LOT for over a year and has been excellent and fault free.

Event:-

On second flight of day at 300-350 metres range the quad at maybe at most a third of pack used and 3.8 av cell volt with video image good it did a slow uncommanded forward roll and fell to ground.  As it was falling I noticed the goggles VIDEO signal strength at max four bars, but no CH(number) indicated.  It stayed like that on the ground till I found it right way up in the lengthening dew damp field grass, reached it and carried it back.  After check over (no damage, wet lens) I flew it carefully and the CH (number) was sometimes blanking for a second, while the four bars stayed at max.  Battery voltage displayed was normal, at no time did the RADIO RSSI/Link Qual on ELRS stray from normal.

Landed, changed channel (from 3 to 6) and flew again, same as above intermittant loss of CH indicator, no other symptom. Flew battery out, landed checked voltage matched OSD indication.

Buddy flew (analog) , then I flew again on original CH3.  It stayed on, no glitches or indication flicker.

8 more packs, increasingly aggressive, inc regular over spot of issue, all normal.

Huh

Found an instance during the flight where the DJI Channel number went from 3 to 65535 for two counts. Think there was at least one more, but cannot find it currently.

HOWEVER, while I thought it blanked the channel number during the fall, it does not show that from the .srt file overlayed on the video. The video tracks clear and full DJI OSD with limited Betaflight data (no WTFOS) all the way to ground, hard to tell if that data frozen though.

Voltages good throughout and NO indication of ELRS radio issue.

Significant interference to both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz intermittantly during that flight?

Fine today, same site, same cct flying.

That sounded like some one had a fairly powerful transmitter of sort to swamp your signals. Does not have to be the same frequencies, just strong enough to create problems for you.
