UK Buyers -> Ordering LiPos from Banggood (???)
#1
Question
Have any UK buyers on here ordered and successfully had delivered any LiPos from Banggood?

It used to be impossible to buy LiPos from Banggood if the destination was the UK (a delivery not possible to that destination message was shown), but with UK now set as the shipping  destination, it appears that I'm able to add LiPos to my basket without getting a rejection message Huh

I don't know when this change occurred or if they've recently had a change in policy, but I would be interested to know if anyone in the UK has been successful in getting LiPos from Banggood, and if they've passed through customs OK without any issues.

I want to get some 17mm x 13.5mm LiPos to fit a 2S whoop and the GNB 2S 300mAh ones get the best endorsements (see Nick Burns recommendations HERE), but that particular brand/type of LiPo isn't available from any suppliers in the UK. They are however available  on Banggood (although currently on pre-prder for whatever reason)...

Not an UK buyer, Finland here. I had a similar experience with Banggood. When I first started buying gear, I was able to buy 2 lipos and they arrived just fine. Then some weeks later I wanted to buy more, and it was not possible. Some months later, it was possible again, and again - they arrived. Shortly after that it was not possible again.

So I don't know what's happening there, but both times the system actually let me buy lipos, they did arrive.

Thanks guys. Looks like it's not a mistake then.

It's a bit of an annoyance that the exact ones I want are on pre-order with no priority direct mail option, so even when they do come into stock (which is who knows when) then it could still be 20 days after that before I receive them.

The only ones of the same form factor that I seem to be able to source in the UK are the BetaFPV 350mAh ones either from Amazon (HERE) or one of the RC hobby specialists like quadcopters.co.uk, but they're ~25% more expensive than the GNB ones, and they aren't as well endorsed by RC reviewers as the GNB ones are.

I managed to get a lipo shipped last year and another 2 are being shipped at the moment from. It seems to change from week to week. Sometimes it says it cannot be shipped other times they do. I've also had success on AliExpress through 2 different suppliers.

It seems a bit random. I'm from PT. I tried ordering some bats once and couldn't even finish the order. Last month I just tried again for 2 funfly and they already arrived.

Well my order of 8x "phone cases" arrived from Banggood without any issues Whistling

Imagine my complete surprise when I opened the parcel to find these inside Confused Thinking

So it seems that is how BG are able to send LiPos from China to countries that don't accept shipment of such items by standard mail Dodgy  I'm not really sure how comfortable I feel about that but they're here now so any dodgyness is already done.

They must have come from China because otherwise there wouldn't have been a need for a customs declaration to be attached to the outside, and they took 20 days to arrive which is about right for BG sourced goods that aren't on priority direct mail delivery, which wasn't an option for this particular order.

The sender's address is Belgium one and there is a Belgium postal stamp on the outside of the parcel so it seems that they first got delivered to Belgium as phone cases, and from there a "Lithium Ion Battery" sticker was added which is required under EU law if the parcel contains those type of batteries, and they were then sent on to the UK (it is currently fine and allowed for LiPos to be sent between EU countries).

No, only one phone but I thought a load of spare phone cases might come in handy in case I keep wearing them out ROFL

That's not good shipping practices. Isn't it illegal? Not that Banggood probably cares. While I'm in the U.S., that's just another reason for me NOT to buy anything from them.

Deal
Here's the Deal

10" 6S FR10-G Long Range, 5" 6S Rooster, 5" 6S Badger, 5" 6S QAV-S, 5" 4S Badger, 5" 4S Phreakstyle Slam, 5" 6S Yema, 5" 4S Stark, 3" 4S Gecko, and a 3S 2.5" Tadpole, all of which are Crossfire.  Tinyhawk, Tinyhawk S, and a DJI Spark.  And projects on the bench....

Most of the time I advice to buy lipo's local or within the EU. They aren't much expensiver then from banggood and you don't have to wait a month.

I've got several Lipos from Banggood and AliExpress with no issues. They seem to come through Belgium post and take longer than usual but do get here in a couple or 3 weeks.
