It used to be impossible to buy LiPos from Banggood if the destination was the UK (a delivery not possible to that destination message was shown), but with UK now set as the shipping destination, it appears that I'm able to add LiPos to my basket without getting a rejection message I don't know when this change occurred or if they've recently had a change in policy, but I would be interested to know if anyone in the UK has been successful in getting LiPos from Banggood, and if they've passed through customs OK without any issues. I want to get some 17mm x 13.5mm LiPos to fit a 2S whoop and the GNB 2S 300mAh ones get the best endorsements (see Nick Burns recommendations HERE), but that particular brand/type of LiPo isn't available from any suppliers in the UK. They are however available on Banggood (although currently on pre-prder for whatever reason)... https://www.banggood.com/Gaoneng-7_6V-30...99691.html • Posts: 438 Threads: 53 Likes Received: 378 in 189 posts Likes Given: 223 Joined: Jul 2018 Reputation: 18 Not an UK buyer, Finland here. I had a similar experience with Banggood. When I first started buying gear, I was able to buy 2 lipos and they arrived just fine. Then some weeks later I wanted to buy more, and it was not possible. Some months later, it was possible again, and again - they arrived. Shortly after that it was not possible again. So I don't know what's happening there, but both times the system actually let me buy lipos, they did arrive. • Posts: 5,325 Threads: 675 Likes Received: 3,162 in 1,749 posts Likes Given: 2,034 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 140 Yes bought a Lipo for the Taranis last month and it arrived successfully. • Posts: 21,358 Threads: 592 Likes Received: 9,018 in 6,675 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 793 Thanks guys. Looks like it's not a mistake then. It's a bit of an annoyance that the exact ones I want are on pre-order with no priority direct mail option, so even when they do come into stock (which is who knows when) then it could still be 20 days after that before I receive them. The only ones of the same form factor that I seem to be able to source in the UK are the BetaFPV 350mAh ones either from Amazon ( HERE) or one of the RC hobby specialists like quadcopters.co.uk, but they're ~25% more expensive than the GNB ones, and they aren't as well endorsed by RC reviewers as the GNB ones are. • Posts: 60 Threads: 7 Likes Received: 7 in 7 posts Likes Given: 1 Joined: Jan 2019 Reputation: 0 I managed to get a lipo shipped last year and another 2 are being shipped at the moment from. It seems to change from week to week. Sometimes it says it cannot be shipped other times they do. I've also had success on AliExpress through 2 different suppliers. • Posts: 668 Threads: 31 Likes Received: 208 in 158 posts Likes Given: 95 Joined: Feb 2019 Reputation: 14 It seems a bit random. I'm from PT. I tried ordering some bats once and couldn't even finish the order. Last month I just tried again for 2 funfly and they already arrived. • Posts: 545 Threads: 28 Likes Received: 135 in 101 posts Likes Given: 94 Joined: Oct 2018 Reputation: 6 I ordered some CNHL 4S 1500mAh from BG and they did arrive. • Posts: 21,358 Threads: 592 Likes Received: 9,018 in 6,675 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 793 02-Apr-2019, 03:40 PM (This post was last modified: 02-Apr-2019, 04:14 PM by SnowLeopardFPV. No, only one phone but I thought a load of spare phone cases might come in handy in case I keep wearing them out (02-Apr-2019, 04:01 PM)Scott_M Wrote: Are those for the Trashcan ? Isn't it illegal? Not that Banggood probably cares. While I'm in the U.S., that's just another reason for me NOT to buy anything from them. Deal Here's the Deal
10" 6S FR10-G Long Range, 5" 6S Rooster, 5" 6S Badger, 5" 6S QAV-S, 5" 4S Badger, 5" 4S Phreakstyle Slam, 5" 6S Yema, 5" 4S Stark, 3" 4S Gecko, and a 3S 2.5" Tadpole, all of which are Crossfire. Tinyhawk, Tinyhawk S, and a DJI Spark. And projects on the bench.... • Posts: 307 Threads: 18 Likes Received: 69 in 48 posts Likes Given: 33 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 9 Most of the time I advice to buy lipo's local or within the EU. They aren't much expensiver then from banggood and you don't have to wait a month. • Posts: 545 Threads: 28 Likes Received: 135 in 101 posts Likes Given: 94 Joined: Oct 2018 Reputation: 6 (05-Apr-2019, 01:39 PM)Dutch Drone Builder Wrote: Most of the time I advice to buy lipo's local or within the EU. They seem to come through Belgium post and take longer than usual but do get here in a couple or 3 weeks. • |
