09-Apr-2021, 08:13 PM Hi guys, i wanted your advise on what to buy. I'm new to the hobby and i want something small and slow could you guys suggest me some. i prefer the 1s 1inch ones 09-Apr-2021, 08:52 PM I would look at the Happymodel Mobula6 or the Moblite6. 09-Apr-2021, 09:05 PM ive seen them but they are a little bit fast fore me id like something slower 09-Apr-2021, 09:16 PM You can tame any quad down by setting a throttle scale / limit if it's too fast for you. Otherwise you probably want to be looking at one of the whoops with brushed motors. BetaFPV make some but we've seen quite a few quality issues with BetaFPV stuff recently. Maybe their brushed whoops are OK but I don't know. NewBeeDrone also make some but if you are outside the USA then they might be difficult to get hold of. 09-Apr-2021, 09:28 PM I've been looking for micros in the $100 range all day. Finding them, but seems like all of them are on back order. 09-Apr-2021, 09:46 PM I have the NBD Hummingbird PMB edition and love it. It doesn't seem to be in stock, but the BBP is available. Maybe a little pricy for a brushed 1S whoop, but I think it's exactly what you're looking for. https://newbeedrone.com/collections/newb...ebrain-pro 09-Apr-2021, 10:03 PM Does someone know how long backorders typically take? 09-Apr-2021, 10:21 PM (09-Apr-2021, 10:03 PM)DecaLark Wrote: Does someone know how long backorders typically take? It depends on the supply chain. No-one but the actual manufacturer knows, and they won't tell you because they want your money now, not when the products actually get manufactured. So you just have to pay your money and hope you won't be waiting around for months, or that something better doesn't appear on the market while you already paid your money and are still waiting. The problem is, if you don't place a pre-order and put your money on the table, you will already be behind a load of other people in the queue who already did that, so you can't win. I would rather buy the next best quad I can find even if its $10-20 more. I have a build on the table for 5 months waiting for a component. And now the other components have slowly started getting upgrades. (My entire southern hemisphere summer is almost over now). 10-Apr-2021, 12:04 PM hi guys i think i found what im looking for. file:///C:/Users/User/Documents/Lightshot/nivwejhfihnq.png this is a link to a screenshot from what im goin to buy. Are these goggles drone and transmitter worth getting?. 10-Apr-2021, 12:20 PM The link you posted is to a file on your computer that we have no access to. You will need to attach it or upload it to somewhere like Imgur. It would be better if you just post a direct link to the website page of the item you are thinking of buying. Ok im just going to tell you what im thinking of buying. Happymodel Mobula6 Eachine EV800D Frsky taranis x9 lite I think for 255 euros its a good deal 10-Apr-2021, 01:43 PM (10-Apr-2021, 12:38 PM)panosth4 Wrote: Ok im just going to tell you what im thinking of buying. The Happymodel Mobula6 is OK, The Eachine EV800D goggles are very good. Personally, I would Not buy an FrSky transmitter. Both RadioMaster and Jumper make excellent, inexpensive, transmitters that have multi-protocol modules. I would strongly consider a RadioMaster Tx12 or a Jumper T-Lite over the FrSky. 10-Apr-2021, 02:14 PM ok but can the jumper or the radiomaster bind to an frsky receiver? im asking this because the mobula comes with a frsky receiver built in 10-Apr-2021, 02:52 PM (This post was last modified: 10-Apr-2021, 02:56 PM by iFly4rotors.) It will bind to FrSky, FlySky, Spectrum...and the list goes on, too many for me to list here. I have a Jumper T16 with a multi-protocol module and I use FrSky XM+ receivers for all of my short to mid-range quads. Also NOTE, the standard JR Bay in my Jumper allows me to use long range modules as well like TBS Crossfire, Ghost, Tracer, you name it. I have the FrSky R9 module and run FrSky R9MM receivers in my long range quads. No Problem. Now, the RadioMaster TX12 has a full size JR bay and will run any of the standard JR bay modules. Check it out. Watch some YouTube videos. If I was on a budget, I would seriously consider the TX12. If you can afford it, I would go with the RadioMaster TX16S {this will likely be my next transmitter}. |
