Touch screen Mod for Prusa 3D Printer
#1
One of the the things a lot of Prusa printers always want is a touch screen and Wi-Fi. Well, it looks like there is a mod (in beta) for the touch for the Prusa Mk2/2s/3/3S. It seems to just be the STL case only. I don't see instructions for what touch screen being used or the firmware file. At least there is hope for those that already own a printer.

Edit: I found the instructions.

Yes, I've already seen it. Looks really nice but it's quite a lot of work. There were also some detailed instructions on one of the Prusa forums.

I started reading the instructions and had the same thoughts. Too much work. Snow, it is time for you to start a small business retrofitting old printers with touch screen.

I would really love to do this to mine but I'm just not sure I have the appetite. Plus, for the printed parts they would need to be printed in PETG for an original look, because that is what Prusa use for all the other printed parts on the i3. I've not yet printed anything in PETG and knowing my luck I will probably end up having a nightmare trying to print stuff with it. LOL

Maybe I'll think about it over winter. Watch this space...or not Big Grin
