Tiny Whip - Turning a Tiny Whoop into RC car
#1
[Image: rjBQN8ql.jpg]

Saw this idea in an FB group, some guy is planning to turn his Tiny Whoop into an RC car by using CW motors on the left, and CCW motors on the right on the vehicle, i believe the wheels and frame are all 3D printed.

Pretty cool idea after the Tiny Whoover Smile

Not bad, but I still prefer the Hoover!

The Tiny Wheelz?
Not sure how it will be to try and steer this thing using 'differential thrust' though!?

Seems like the RPMs would be much too high for this to work.

Totally agree. Needs a reducer to increase torque and slow down rpms. Maybe a belt drive from a pc dvd tray?(the belt is just a black rubber band)

I am planning to convert a brushed 90mm into a Tiny AirBoat since imho it is more simple to re-manage the thrust. I am thinking about a kind of flat bottomed Airboat .
Sorry as usual for my bad english.

What do you reckon - Coke bottle lid : 0.8mm motor shaft, sounds like a workable ratio!?

Nice idea, but I think a flat bottom on this scale might just have too much drag, also you would need perfectly still water. When the wind is that gentle its time to fly!

I think a GEV (Ground Effect Vehicle) or Ekranoplan might work better than an airboat, there is a GEV thread over at RCG, but all the things the guys are working on are much bigger than whoop scale. Maybe a Hydrofoil might be workable?
