Fusion is starting to provide a more updated user experience compared to RapidFire.

I was always tempted by RapidFIRE but I'm glad I held off and waited for Fusion with the updated RF hardware module. Even if some people hate TBS, one thing that can certainly be said about them is that at least they continue supporting and investing time enhancing pretty much their whole product line including older gear. The same unfortunately can't be said for some other companies in this hobby.

I keep saying the same time n time again being a person that currently has a Rapidfire module and other IRC products in the past.

My experience with TBS is very different and positive for the most part.

Unfortunately some companies do appear to lose interest in their older products once they have a new product line to focus their attention on, so their older products then just seem to get neglected. I'm no TBS fanboy, but TBS certainly don't seem to do that from my experience so they at least need to be given some credit for not leaving their customers high and dry.

TBS Fusion V2.30 (Beta) firmware was released a week ago which now supports real-time wireless streaming of information from lap timing systems (currently only supported by RotorHazard at this time) onto the OSD of your goggles via the Fusion module. Trappy discusses that feature at time position 2:35 in the last TBS livestream which is linked below.

Release notes for the V2.30 firmware have been added to the first post.

Firmware version V2.34 was released for the TBS Fusion module a week ago which includes the ability to receive additional bands/frequencies. I did a before/after comparison during the firmware update process, and the new V2.34 firmware contains additional bands M, H, Y and T. It's not entirely clear what these new bands are for or where they came from because they don't appear to be industry-standard bands/frequencies, and bands H, Y, and T contain frequencies that fall well outside of the normal 5.8GHz range. If anyone happens to know more about these, can you please add any relevant info to this thread.

A question about the additional frequency bands listed in post #10 of this thread that TBS added to the V2.34 Fusion firmware was asked on JB's live stream yesterday. The consensus seems to be that they have likely been included for use in an area where FPV pilots want some additional frequencies to use and where they don't care about using illegal frequencies (i.e. the conflict that is currently going on in Europe).

You can see that Q&A / discussion at 12:08 into JB's live stream linked to below...
