fat shark not recognize tbs
#1
Hi everybody.
Need your advice!
I have Tbs (unify pro 5g8hv),  foxeer camera and old one fat shark horizon. All  was connected straight without onboard Osd and was a picture on fat shark. I bring new fly controller kakute f4 AIO v2.1 connected thru osd and nothing happend, no picture on fat shark. I back to straight connection and also no picture. Checked bands and channels on tbs everything looks ok, but no connection between  tbs and fat shark. What can be a Problem? How can I diagnose my fat shark, if  something wrong witht googles? Or the problem with Tbs? Help.... Cry Huh

Check you are on the correct Band/Channel aka frequency on both the VTX and goggles. Do not auto scan.

Ensure you are not in pitmode.

If you tried setting up SmartAudio GTX control via the FC then ensure you are using the correct vtx tables in Betaflight.

I hope you did not power on the vtx without an antenna and you had active cooling while testing the vtx on the bench.

Does the vtx or camera get very hot quickly when you power them up.

Thank you for your fast answer!!
I did all what you said! Powered Vtx without cooling for sure and maybe also powered without antenna )))):  But as I read, Tbs when overheats is shut down?!
About is  vtx  get hot quickly i dont know, but after couple minutes I tryed to change bands and channels true button on vtx and it was very hot even to hold button 3sec.
So it possible that i backed vtx ? How can i check it?

Hard to check a faulty vtx without another set of goggles or another spare vtx.

You can test the camera by connecting it to a RCA cable and connecting it to a TV that has analog RCA input.
