Seems like it works fine. It's also a bit faster too. • Posts: 5 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Mar 2021 Reputation: 0 30-Mar-2021, 10:44 PM (This post was last modified: 30-Mar-2021, 10:55 PM by AF_Dave.) I just found out about the TBS lite for my crossfire today. I watched Josh Bardwells videos ect... and keep running into the issue for my X9D , I don't have a "Tools" folder in the Scripts section of my SD card. I see that you got yours running. Not sure how you did it! Would love some advice! (I'm fairly new to the Taranis, brother got me into it - been mostly using Specktrum 6x.) • Posts: 21,274 Threads: 587 Likes Received: 8,970 in 6,638 posts Likes Given: 1,425 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 788 (30-Mar-2021, 10:44 PM)AF_Dave Wrote: I just found out about the TBS lite for my crossfire today. The "TOOLS" folder should be under the "SCRIPTS" folder. Do you have a "SCRIPTS" folder? • Posts: 5 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Mar 2021 Reputation: 0 31-Mar-2021, 05:36 AM (This post was last modified: 31-Mar-2021, 05:37 AM by AF_Dave.) I'm running 2.2 on my Taranis X9D. It has a "Script" folder, but no Tools folder. I tried putting 2.3.11 on it using Open TX, but I was told by the program that it wouldn't work. (I tried it anyway, and it failed to load the bootloader, so I had to revert back to 2.2) • Posts: 21,274 Threads: 587 Likes Received: 8,970 in 6,638 posts Likes Given: 1,425 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 788 You're on quite an old version of OpenTX so that is probably why. You will need to update both the bootloader and the OpenTX. The easiest way to do that is to leave your X9D+ switched OFF, plug in a USB cable and then use OpenTX Companion to flash the OpenTX 2.3.11 firmware with the X9D+ switched OFF. It will still get an active USB connection in that state. Doing that will then update both the bootloader and OpenTX in one go. Once you've done that, reformat the SD Card to FAT32 (make sure you take a backup of the current contents first to a folder on your computer) and then extract the contents of the sdcard-212x64-2.3V0035.zip file at the following location to your SD Card... https://downloads.open-tx.org/2.3/releas...ntx-x9d%2B • Posts: 5 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Mar 2021 Reputation: 0 (31-Mar-2021, 11:09 AM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: You're on quite an old version of OpenTX so that is probably why. Thank you so much for that detailed reply! Very dumb question, will it matter that I have an X9D (no Plus)? (Guess I'll find out very soon!!! Thanks again!) • Posts: 5 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Mar 2021 Reputation: 0 My brother sent me this link today, and with your help as well I was able to get it! https://oscarliang.com/flash-opentx-firm...gRjv7VaqiY • Posts: 21,274 Threads: 587 Likes Received: 8,970 in 6,638 posts Likes Given: 1,425 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 788 That's good news. There's a different SD Card content file for the X9D but I think it just contains exactly the same files as the ones for the X9D+. So you should be fine. • Posts: 5 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Mar 2021 Reputation: 0 (31-Mar-2021, 09:06 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: That's good news. Yeah... the main differences in the X9D and Plus version are fairly cosmetic. I got it all working yesterday afternoon! • |
