Taking the best of Velocidrone
#1
Hello all,

I just wanted to post this because I'm really surprised with the difference it makes and maybe someone doesn't know it.
Maybe it's obvious ok, but I just reduced my velocidrone resolution to 800x600, the drawing distance to medium, the rest was already low quality and... it's amazing the difference! My laptop it's quite old and has some intel integrated graphics card, but the game seemed to be running quite nice with my previous settings. After reducing the quality settings it made a huge difference on the quad handling, it flows really well and the commands really improved on latency.

I didn't count for the fps but I will.

What's your tipical fps?

If you didn't already see it, Ashley did a whole video a little while back on screen quality settings, what they all do, and how they affect the game/simulator. It's definitely worth a watch if you or anyone else who uses VelociDrone hasn't seen it.

Very nice. So even after lowering the settings I'm with 60fps because I have vsync on Smile
I wonder the fps I was getting before to note so much of a difference...
I will try some things out!

I can't remember where, but I read somewhere recently that even if your monitor has restricted FPS, it is still better to use a higher FPS in the sim because while you don't necessarily see that frame rate on your monitor, the processor will still use that FPS and the simulator as a whole will have a more realistic feel because of the higher FPS.
