Step by step instructions for FS-X6B FS-iA10B FS-i6B
#1
I'm attempting my first build, a 5 inch drone with a FlySky FS-i6X controller. It came with a FS-iA10B and I bought a FS-X6B receiver, I have found plenty of videos and discussion of binding the i-6X to the iA10B. But no explination of what the iA10B purpose is, if I have a FS-X6B attached to the Flight Controller what does the iA10B so. I've never seen a picture of a Drone with the iA10B attached to it. I'm just starting out and trying to learn, where many of you may have been long ago. If you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it, I would have thought FlySky would have put out more detailed instructions on these products but I can't seem to find detailed instructions.

The 10B and the 6B are both receivers. You only need one of them per model unless its a complex or massive model that needs dual receivers, far more tech than A 5" Quad needs.

They are basically designed for different purposes though, the 10B being slanted more towards planes and helicopters, the 6B more towards multicopter drones.

For now. that's likely enough tech talk, use the 6B, but once your quad is up and running, we can discuss at your leisure discuss what the 10B is best at/for.

welcome to the forums!

The Ia10b is another receiver type. So you don’t have to use it if you bought and wired up a different receiver already. If you get that working with your flight controller and bound to your transmitter, then you’re all set.

Question:  I am setting up a Fire Wheel 450 Using a Pixhawk V6X controller with PX4 autopilot, and a flysky FS 16x transmitter with FS-1a10B reciever
using PPM.  My set up program is Q ground control.  Everything went great in the setup until I reached the radio.  Q is telling me the radio is not connected.
I have the PPM cable pugged in the pixhawk ppm port and the channel 1 port on the reciever.  Transmitter and receiver are bound and the receiver light is steady.  What am I missing here.

The first thing to check is if you have set the output mode on your transmitter to PPM.

I used Mission Control to configured my Pixhawk but I don't remember having to so anything.

I believe for the PixHawk (I only have the very very old versions) you can also use sBus if PPM does not work.

Secondly and I am not sure if this applies to your Pixhawk compared to mine. I needed to supply power to my PixHawk for the receiver to work.
