SpeedyBee F745 AIO Troubleshooting
#1
Hi all,
I'm putting a SpeedyBee F745 AIO in a Flight IH3. I want to connect the USB C module so I can do the initial set-up on my computer. I also want to switch to Blue Jay and will need to connect to the computer for that. I've attached the USB C module the aio came with, but I am not having any success connecting to Betaflight.
switched what USB C port I'm plugging into. I've tried other drones, and those plug in and are detected fine.

The D-, D+, and GND all on the right pads. I'm powering with the battery, then connecting the USB C to my computer. Nothing. I've tried different cables and even switched what USB C port I'm plugging into. I've tried other drones, and those plug in and are detected fine.

I'm not on here much now, but when I was first starting this place was real helpful!  I've built dozens of drones at this point and consider myself a pretty competent, but this is my first time messing around with a USB port.

Any ideas out there?

Have you tried plugging in bootloader mode. Hold the boot button and plug in.

Had this same AIO on the bench, just haven't used it yet. Just soldered it up to the USB dongle and noticed it only detects in BF if I've got a battery connected. But I checked the manual and it says that's normal.

Voodoo614- I had not thought of that. Gave it a shot with no luck. I've fiddled around with the and it "seems" to be updated, but there are issues.

You'll see in the video it says it's on BF 4.4.1. When I go to apply a 4.4 pre-set it gives a warning saying the board is actually on 3.0 I have flashed via the app, but it was real buggy. Not sure about this board at this point. I'm in contact with customer service so will update as I make progress.

Link to video of app in use showing above, and photo of solder joints/wires for usb module to board.

That is interesting. Have you tried 4.4.0 or 4.3 to see if that works? Possibly 4.4.1 is buggy.

I did not try using other firmwares. Hadn't considered that. After about a week of back and forth Speedy Bee decided to send a new AIO. I'll update when that one shows up.
