But considering how long I've been flying (and my overall experience), would it be ok for me to do it, is probably more the question? Perhaps because you are still relatively new to the game; you still have that "New" perspective. Plus, things have changed in the past couple of years and a lot of members have been in the game for quite a while; in my case, I don't remember what, if any, questions that I even had back then. Mostly, I ask a question when I have a problem that I can't seem to work out. Anyway, just a thought Posts: 4,073 Threads: 75 Likes Received: 2,548 in 1,858 posts Likes Given: 3,949 Joined: May 2021 Reputation: 121 (05-Sep-2022, 05:19 PM)Pathfinder075 Wrote: I can do. Or at least, answer what you can and make a list of more up to date questions that are likely to be asked even if you don’t know all of the answers. Maybe some of the more experienced users might jump in at that point. Dangerous operations. Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about. I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose. Some questions on receivers I will have to push out to the panel. I only have experience now on ELRS and FrSky/D8 (and for testing I did bind the new drone on D16 just to debug something, which it did without any hassle, but this was v1 of D16). Hi everyone, I'm new here and need some help. I want to put a dji air 3 unit on my rc plane, with a separate battery from the plane's. I understood that it must be with a B.E.C or a step down module. How to proceed, which battery to use, which B.EC/Step down is better and must be used. I want to connect a connector to B.E.C / step down to the input and to the output to soder the power wires power and grownd from 03. Please help me! Thank you! • Posts: 6,106 Threads: 172 Likes Received: 2,283 in 1,830 posts Likes Given: 4,733 Joined: Feb 2019 Reputation: 100 @andrei it might be benefical to delet the question inhere, as you did an own thread you would get answered multiple times thatway. • Posts: 5,868 Threads: 47 Likes Received: 2,779 in 2,241 posts Likes Given: 7,635 Joined: Jul 2019 Reputation: 97 Hi Andrei, According to the manual, that DJI Air 03 unit accepts battery input voltages from 7.4 to 26.4 volts; that is standard 2S to 6S battery voltage. Consequently, you do NOT need a BEC if the battery is between 2S and 6S. For example, a 3S or 4S battery can safely be connected directly to the 03 unit. Simply solder an XT-30 battery connector to the 03 unit's power lead wires: ___ Pin 1 Red = Power (7.4-26.4 V) -------------------| | XT-30 Pin 2 Black = GND (for power) ----------------------|__| Connector Pin 3 White = UART RX Pin 4 Gray = UART TX Pin 5 Brown = Signal GND Pin 6 Yellow = DJI HDL (SBUS) I wouldn't think that the Air Unit draws much power, so a 3S 450 mAh might last quite a long time; longer than the main battery for the craft. • |
