Anyone recommend a solid alternative? What about that Speedybee AIO? I prefer to avoid iFlight, Diatone and GEPRC though. • Posts: 21,415 Threads: 595 Likes Received: 9,037 in 6,688 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 796 So not an iFlight SucceX F7 then? The Matek F722-SE would be my next choice if you are after a AIO, otherwise the Matek F722-STD if you need to hook up to a 4in1 ESC. • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 LOLLLL yea. NO. The Matek would've been a no brainer for me but that side lipo mount ... eh. I'm so used to a rear mount. And turning the FC would just then put the USB in an odd place. And actually I would plan to use individual ESCs with this one. I have found a place that sells the Kakute F7 for the 4-in-1. But your post about the mounting holes connected to the outer ESC pads kinda freaked me out. So I was hoping to go Kakute F7 AIO + 4x Tekko32 Metals to replace the Diatone power system on my 7". • Posts: 12,098 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 FC with PDB is a dying breed. I can't remember the last new FC with this design. You only choice is the Matek or Holybro. • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 Wow how lucky lol ... Helidirect restocked just now haha. I picked that up and some individual metal ESCs. No more iflight, diatone, etc on any of my builds as far as FCs or ESCs. Still, its worth having a backup brand. Yea I wish the Matek would design a rear lipo mount version of their AIO FC. Do you guys think that Speedybee one might be any good? I know Newbeedrone makes great little tiny whoops but they seem to be creeping into everything else. • Posts: 21,415 Threads: 595 Likes Received: 9,037 in 6,688 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 796 13-Jun-2020, 07:56 PM (This post was last modified: 13-Jun-2020, 07:56 PM by SnowLeopardFPV.) The Speedybee FC's are made by RunCam, not NewBeeDrone. I don't know of many people who use it, so not sure what the reliability is like. It has some nice features though like Bluetooth built in. How about Speedybee F7 AIO? Edit: haha. An hour too late. Didn't read Snow or Ronin post. • Posts: 12,098 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 (13-Jun-2020, 07:47 PM)the.ronin Wrote: Wow how lucky lol ... Don't tell me you are too lazy to do that. • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 Actually I am lol but I'd still do it - it's just that the USB is now inside the frame too. • Posts: 214 Threads: 9 Likes Received: 110 in 76 posts Likes Given: 34 Joined: May 2019 Reputation: 6 I have a speedybee f4 on one of my quads, no experience with the f7. It's been really reliable though, I used it to replace my kakute aio that lasted forever and a day untill it got sand blasted after a really nasty crash. |
