Six inch mid range build: MR6
#46
Usually the OG DJI camera does not need the soft mounting like the O3 camera, its the sensitive gyro that needs the soft mounting. If you're still getting motor vibrations, might try the floppy props. I ran those back when I flew a 6" setup, you lose some power but they may be smoother in flight.

I've never used any soft mounting for the OG DJI FPV System Camera. Just hard mounted directly to the carbon / metal camera mounts. I've never experienced any jello with it mounted that way (knock on wood).

I was warned that this prototype frame was prone to vibrations but they are not too bad, I just wanted to test those dampers and soft mount the motors just to learn a bit. The improvements with the soft mounted motors did surprise me though. I don't want to wear out my screw holes so I will remove them but the test did give me some crazy ideas.

I have to other brands of props for this quad, I'll have to see if any of them make a difference.

I've been considering testing with a AIO FC and a naked Vista to get the weight down but I am a bit concerned about the single antenna on the Vista when mountain surfing down gullies and so on. Maybe those concerns are not warranted because basic tests I've seen on youtube show that the Vista is very similar to the full size Air Unit. I don't have a AIO FC though, I'll wait until I do before testing with Vista.

Sure I can share the STL file with you. It's pretty specific for my frame though so you might have to play around with it. Just keep in mind that I'm a noob at 3D printing and designing, I don't really know what I'm doing.

I sent you a PM with a link.

It's STL files for the cage and the lid. They are designed for my frame with ELRS receiver, vifly GPS mate and an older GEPRC GPS receiver.

As you probably won't have the same parts you might need to make some changes. Personally I think it's easier to make new from scratch rather than modifying existing STL files.
