I've just ordered the Radiomaster TX16s and trying to pick up batteries for it. Everywhere I've checked is either sold out or won't ship. Anyone know somewhere good to buy from, or if I can use something different from 21700 7.4v 2s or 7.4v 2s LipPoly? This is my first transmitter upgrade and I'm pretty clueless.
Cheers in advance

388 I see, you are referring to the Radiomaster brand lipo 2S 5000mah. That is a new thing to me. Anyways, you can use any 2S as long as it fits in the compartment. Otherwise, the radio comes with a carrier for 2 18650. Just pop them in and you are set.

Buy from a reputable vendor. Li-ion are 3400-3500mah max. Which is quite a bit less than the Radiomaster 5000mah in capacity. The 3400-3500mah capacity easily gives you a whole day of flying session.
The hobby is a big learning curve. You did the correct thing by asking. Just take one step at a time. You will be rewarded at the end.

Included with my radio was a GNB 3500mAh LiHV 2s 7.6v Battery, it fits a treat.
I charged mine with a separate charger, I think it should be fine in the radio charger, but you should check this out first.
