Looks interesting and if they can keep it crazy cheap then they have a winner on their hands. • Posts: 21,330 Threads: 590 Likes Received: 9,001 in 6,662 posts Likes Given: 1,426 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 790 Someone made a "guestimate" that it would be $119 USD. I don't know where that figure came from or if it was just plucked from the air, but RunCam have stated that it will go on sale tomorrow (or today in some parts of the world), so I guess we'll find out the actual price in the next few hours. It's up at Runcam already, listed for $89.99. If the quality is half decent I think it will sell extremely well. https://shop.runcam.com/runcam-thumb-pro/ Here's an "early" review (skip ahead to 9:30 for flight footage): Edit: RunCam just released their official video: • Posts: 4,550 Threads: 38 Likes Received: 1,245 in 1,064 posts Likes Given: 430 Joined: Aug 2020 Reputation: 118 Looks well made but I have not seen any of the videos yet. • Posts: 1,312 Threads: 50 Likes Received: 832 in 504 posts Likes Given: 372 Joined: Jul 2018 Reputation: 51 Settings from the config app, in case anyone is curious! Looks pretty similar to the Runcam 5 Orange settings, and includes useful stuff like flat colour profiles, lockable shutter and non-auto white balance. I'm really interested in this one. The ground is for dead people. Did anyone here get one and wanna share their impression? I just couldn't get myself to pull the trigger even though it is practically made for sub250. After 2x Thumbs and a poorly planned Peanut purchase that remains in its packaging, just couldnt do it. • Posts: 21,330 Threads: 590 Likes Received: 9,001 in 6,662 posts Likes Given: 1,426 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 790 (03-Aug-2022, 09:52 PM)the.ronin Wrote: Wow this thing sold out really fast. Yes, Oscar got one... https://oscarliang.com/runcam-thumb-pro-camera Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 04-Aug-2022, 04:53 PM (This post was last modified: 04-Aug-2022, 04:55 PM by the.ronin.) Yea I couldn't resist ... Caddx Peanut (without dumb harness) 27.7g Go2 26.5 SMO 4K 31.4 Thumb 2 16.5 Thumb 9.8 I picked up 2. Luckily I got the Peanut on serious discount so I think I can actually make a few bucks off it. I'll likely also let go of the SMO 4K although the picture quality in that is really superb (but I may also be able to make a few bucks on that too). But man 15g savings is no joke!! I'll be keeping my 2 thumb v1's though because 10g is about as good as it gets for micro builds. • Posts: 2,378 Threads: 119 Likes Received: 819 in 666 posts Likes Given: 129 Joined: Feb 2021 Reputation: 20 JB.. his review is up on it..$84 I think what he said.. • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 05-Aug-2022, 12:45 AM (This post was last modified: 05-Aug-2022, 12:46 AM by the.ronin.) Yea most places that got it early sold out pretty quick like Defiance and RDQ. Pyro got theirs late so figured it must have been a sign for me to pull the trigger lol. $90 each actually. I decided to get crazy and get a set of the ND filters too. [edit] Shoots, I got the last ones from Pyro sorry to the next guy. • Posts: 1,489 Threads: 92 Likes Received: 574 in 468 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Nov 2020 Reputation: 27 Can you power it from tiny 1S Lipo.. ie 500mah? Alternatively would 2x LiFePo4 work? Bardwell mentioned using this to power it: https://www.getfpv.com/iflight-type-c-to...egree.html Cut the 5v output side off it and splice in the wire that comes with the Runcam pro. • Posts: 4,550 Threads: 38 Likes Received: 1,245 in 1,064 posts Likes Given: 430 Joined: Aug 2020 Reputation: 118 The iFlight USB-C/balance plug cable only supports 4S-6S. • |
