RadioMaster Zorro Transmitter
#61
In case anyone is struggling too short battery life or just having "range anxiety" I recently found other approach to attaching external power storage to Zorro.
I don't really like the way Radiomaster envisioned destroying the look of the radio with a pack between handles that is kept there by some fiddly straps.

But there is a quick attach/release slot at the bottom of the radio (for modules) and there are already two 3d projects for attaching Li-Ion packs there.
It's quick to attach, doesn't hurt my eyes (printed in dark grey), extends battery life like a proper 18650s and it doesn't change the center of gravity on a lanyard.
Yesterday I was testing it and now I plan to keep it as a backup in my backpack.

You can grab yours here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5262427 (not my design).
Though wished it was on printables.com instead of the sunsetting thingiverse.

What do You think?
Maybe someone will find it helpful.

I did this 18650 mod on the Zorro. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5231304
It makes the radio feel so much heavier but i think the MUCH longer battery is worth it haha
