Radio/Modes
#1
I’m really new to setting all this up, I’m using an x-lite radio. In betaflight when I move the bottom left 2 position switch up it says arm(disabled) and the motors start spinning, so does arm disabled mean it’s armed and ready to fly? Also I’d rather not have the motors spinning as soon as I arm unless I increase throttle is this possible? I know this is all basic stuff and if there’s any tutorials you’d recommend I’d appreciate it. I’d also like to setup a 3-position switch for angle/horizon/Acro. I’m guessing this has to be done in the radio first and then betaflight.

For motor stop on arm, there is a setting (motor stop) in the configuration tab in BFC under the ESC protocol.

As for setting up flight modes on a switch, I recommend you read tutorials from Oscar. Basically, you need to assign a switch to an AUX channel on your radio. Then on BFC, you go to mode tab and use that AUX channel to set the flight mode.

Be aware though enabling motor stop makes things really awkward when you try to do a loop or anything really where you cut the motor.

The quad will start to tumble and lose direction. It looses its little floaty air pad wings so to speak. Yes I do not know physics and flying terminology Smile
