Quadcopter parts check
#1
Hi !
I've followed Oscar's tutorials about quadcopters and I would like to know wether my choices are good or not.

I've joined the excel file and a screenshot of it (just in case)

Prices are in euros. Is anything wrong ? Also, I don't know if the stack I mentionned needs a PDB or not, or if I need a vtx transmitter. I couldn't afford FPV goggles at the moment and I plan to wait a few months before buying some.

Is there anything that could be less expensive in the list ?

Thank you for your answers ^^!

Also, for the frame, I would like to 3d print it

What are you going to use for ESCs and the VTX?

The ESC is an all in one because the Mamba is a stack. For the VTX, I really don't know which to choose

I would recommend NOT having a 3D printed frame. Unless you print a lot of them. Not very durable....

Deal
Here's the Deal

10" 6S FR10-G Long Range, 5" 6S Rooster, 5" 6S Badger, 5" 6S QAV-S, 5" 4S Badger, 5" 4S Phreakstyle Slam, 5" 6S Yema, 5" 4S Stark, 3" 4S Gecko, and a 3S 2.5" Tadpole, all of which are Crossfire.  Tinyhawk, Tinyhawk S, and a DJI Spark.  And projects on the bench....

For the frame, I want to make some tests. I wanted to do a project with my 3d printer. I also consider having a "normal" frame in case it would be toohard. Is it really a bad idea ?

Yup I see that on the ESC now, and I agree with Deal on the printed frame, but maybe your won't crash.  Also, 3d printed frames tend to produce jello more as well, so if you're going to have a HD cam on it you may have issues with jello.  Otherwise everything looks ok to me.

Thanks for your quick answers !

Well, I don't want to put a hd cam now (I just can't afford it at the moment Big Grin )

For the antenna, what is it used for ? And can I use a RP-SMA with my other parts ? (I'm really new ^^)

I'd stick with SMA.

I don't see a VTX. I like TBS products.

Any particular reason you want the Race version? I'd go non-race if it was me. I believe they come with an MMCX to SMA connector.
