PSA: HDZero Goggles - Loose Lenses in the Optics Module
#91
(21-Jun-2023, 05:56 AM)Suro s Wrote: Update: I've received my goggles today. Both the optics and the funky color errors appear to be completely fixed. The note had new writing on it stating that the optics were fixed and the RX boards were both swapped out. Now the only thing to figure out is getting them to have more padding on the bridge of my nose. Feels like a knife is resting on it. Anyone know any good tricks?

Edit: Turns out the sharpness on my nose was the velcro strip. I merely clipped away the section that arches over the nose, and there's now just a light, blunt weight resting there. Good 'nuff.

I immediately knew the reason, as it happened to me as the foam initially settled, but then I didn't see your post till 07/07!!   Rolleyes

Its worrying that they still do not have foam/velcro faceplate available as spares (I have asked direct and via dealer). IMO its a wear out part with limited life, and they should support that. Yes, I know there are alterable other makes that "fit", that's not the point!

A problem I had with a Freestyle VTX was answered VERY quickly by them and worked, but then it was UK dealer bought and I went back to them, they bounced it across to a quick answer direct back to me from Divimath Gao. Maybe they respond to dealers fast as they don't want to lose the sales/buffer they give?

I also suggested in my email that they might like to consider sending me a PCB for the new V2 WiFi capable expansion module free-of-charge by way of compensation for sending me faulty goggles and then leaving me in the dark for a further 8 weeks with radio silence, but they completely ignored that sentence in my email and didn't even acknowledge it, so if Divimath mess up with any of their products then don't expect any sort of goodwill gesture from them. I thought that a free $30 PCB for the inconvenience they caused would be a small price for them to pay to help to repair some of the lost confidence in their products and customer service, but I guess they don't really care.

Did they ever get your goggle optics replaced?
