I am getting a profile error when i open betaflight. 

"Your profile cannot be used because it i from a newer version of NW.js.


Some features may be unavailable. Please specify a different profile directory 
or use a newer version of NW.js."
I am not sure how to do this.

Computer is still win 7 pro
I tried to upgrade configurator a week ago to 10.8.0 and after i did, i realized it was for win 8 and up. It would not run.
So I restored configurator version 10.7.2 from my computer and ever since i did that i get this error at startup then it disappears.


It seems to be working still, but i had a problem today (maybe not related?).

I lost bind on my R9MM just after upgrading firmware on F722 se matek to 4.2.11 and can't seem to get it to bind again.
I pulled it out and tried reflashing fport firmware to it and it seems bricked. Like i said, maybe not related? I ordered a new R9MM. 
Can betaflight corrupt firmware on a RX while upgrading FC firmware? I have not had this happen before but it's curious that it happened right after the FC upgrade.

Betaflight cannot brick an external receiver. ELRS receivers support firmware updates via Betaflight pass through but the receiver firmware is not baked into Betaflight. In your case its a R9MM which I doubt has anything to do with Betaflight and may have been a coincidence it got bricked while you had issues with Betaflight on your computer.

I have seen the NW.js error before on github and usually it was related to the OS version etc.

Github is saying:
Delete the user data folder: C:\Users\<your_user_name>\AppData\Local\<app_name_in_manifest>, it works fine for me.
What does this mean??: <app_name_in_manifest>:
Delete this whole file?
C:\Users\rick\AppData\Local\betaflight-configurator\User Data
